Bypassing the Brain's Drawing Rules
Painting from raw, bottom-up vision — no outlines, no symbols, no corrections
About eight years ago, when my daughter was in elementary school, she was painting with watercolors. As I sat beside her, I drew an anime character. It was the first time I had drawn anything since my compulsory school education.

Later, while sitting beside my daughter as she was drawing with crayons, I decided to draw with crayons as well. This is the drawing I made. It was my first time using crayons since I was a child.
